A black male is a suspect from the cradle to the grave, in spite of his actions. As a mother of 4 males and 3 females, I spend my life in fear, even in my happy moments, that someone may decide that my children don’t deserve life. And it seems as if more people are deciding that black folk deserve the death penalty for non existent or minor infractions. How can I reconcile that with America being the home of the free and the land of the brave? I can’t, so I continue to live a duality of American but Alien.
