As Ted Cruz ends protest, Senate votes 100-0 to take up budget bill | McClatchy

As Ted Cruz ends protest, Senate votes 100-0 to take up budget bill | McClatchy.

I have said before and I will say it again, Politicians are great actors.  This gentleman and his cronies have been shouting about the Affordable Healthcare Act.  They have said that President Obama is “shucking and jiving” when it comes to this act.  They have said that it is bad for America and it’s citizens.  He stood talking for over 19 hours about defunding the act only to vote FOR the funding. It seems that politicians know that as long as they put out the correct image, no one will ever question how they actually voted.

They even convinced my husband that he is going to have to pay a registration and monthly fee because of this act.  I tried to explain that this act won’t have much of an effect on our family because we have health insurance.  He seemed to get it but I could tell he wasn’t quite sure what I was saying was correct.  I could only shake my head because if my husband doubted my veracity, I could only imagine the thoughts of the ones who have had several servings of the political Kool-Aid.

Once again our politicians are busy fluffing their feathers at the public’s expense.

Family would rather live homeless in Madison, Wisconsin than to live in one of chicago’s most violent ‘hoods. | OHN -You know your momma raised you better than this.

Family would rather live homeless in Madison, Wisconsin than to live in one of chicago’s most violent ‘hoods. | OHN -You know your momma raised you better than this..

You know the violence is ridiculous when you will give up 4 walls and a roof  for some blankets on the ground.  Chicago is going to end up going the way of Detroit if they don’t take control of the growing violence.  Yet you here people saying that Black folks don’t care about “Black on Black” violence. That is bullshyt but when you are stuck in it, you aren’t trying to march and protest.  You are concerned with survival.  This is just one family’s way of surviving.

Limitless

Too many volunteer for a Destiny unfulfilled. Break out and explore. Have no regrets, only lessons to learn how to live. Find your smile in the every day mundane and you will be rewarded. No matter who it is that is trying to chain you to their concept of your life, it is yours to live as you see fit. Look beyond…

Violet Ambitions

Our world has become full of rules and restrictions because the powers that be surmise that an individual is incapable of knowing what is best for themselves. We are so comforted by the thought of not being responsible for our own destinies that we settle into the box that has been created and ignore the fact that it is a prison.

Every time someone has said you can’t, you won’t, you shouldn’t, or you don’t know how, they are creating a prison in which you will be held captive and, therefore, never meet your destiny. Destiny is not in a box; it’s somewhere out there in the big scary world. Go find it.

When you know who you are and you know the strength you possess, you are free to follow your destiny. There is so much uncertainty and doubt about that fact. But don’t mistake your fear with practicality…
